Note the downward elbow that Aschtgen bent into the sidebar where it meets the baseplate. All the moves up to this point were repeated on the passenger side—up to the point where we cut the bar out to put in the swing-out kit. We’re keeping the bar solid on the passenger side to beef up the overall stiffness. View Related Article
