The Eagle H-beam rods use ARP 2000 bolts to hold the cap tight and keep it from deflecting under the g-loads associated with high rpm. All rod bolts—8740, ARP 2000 and ARP L19—will stretch at the same rate, since they all have the same modulus of elasticity. The benefit of the ARP 2000 bolts, though, is that they have a higher ultimate tensile strength (strength before breaking) than the normal 8740 bolts, and therefore can hold a tighter clamping load on the rod.
