After each valve job touch-up, the valves were lapped and a back-cut was ground almost all the way to the lap marks. New valves were used on the 50-degree valve job as there wasn’t enough material left from the other two valve jobs. The steep-angle valve job shown made the most power, despite having the valves sunk .015 inch, resulting in slightly less compression. View Related Article
