With the stock heads removed, a minor bowl blend was all that was performed before lapping in the stock valve job. The OEM 45-degree angles worked well, but could have benefitted from a more performance-oriented valve job using cutters like the Mondello-designed Goodson cutters used on the 35- and 50-degree tests.
