In order to give the upper edge of the quarter-panel some structural support, a �-inch-wide lip was welded beneath the sail panel. In addition to supporting the quarter-panel, the lip provides a sturdy surface for the welds to adhere to. Locking sheetmetal clamps were used to properly position the lip. View Related Article
