This is the junction of the main hoop, A-pillar bar, and a roof crossbar made from lighter 1½ x .065 DOM. The theory here is to triangulate most of the bars above the driver’s head to create the strongest structure possible at that point. We’ll be replacing the headliner, but to avoid melting it as he tacked, Kertz placed a sheet of aluminum between it and the bars. View Related Article
