Gen III Hemi Engine Oil Passages
|
Oil is fed to the top end via two oil passages near the center of each of the two lifter hold-down trays. Oil makes its way back to the pan by way of drain passages next to each of the lower head boltholes. Anyone planning on swapping 5.7 heads to 6.1 heads or vice versa needs to lay a head gasket on the block and head to make sure there is enough material to seal the gasket. The water passage differences between the two blocks can make it difficult. View Related Article
