The last step before fitting the center support is to trap the driveshaft inside the safety loop. We dropped the rear of the driveshaft, slipped the loop over, and bolted the driveshaft back in.

Slipping the center support between the subframe connectors with ease was a wonderful moment. As long as the initial framerail width measurement is within spec, and the cross measurement is within 1/8 inch, it should fit like a glove. Hey, if a girl like me can do it, so can you!

Total Control Products includes a set of shims to account for a less than perfectly straight car. (Things happen!) We used the smallest shim to fill the gap. The brace was made slightly undersized to accommodate more Mustangs with frame problems.

Here is the Total Control Products' driveshaft loop, center support, and subframe connectors fully installed. This will help keep the unibody's flex under control for the road race and autocross abuse to come. We will be rerouting the fuel lines and battery cable to fit with the new brace. The inside of the connectors gives these lines a safe home

Wow, $43,000 and not out of the garage yet!  Do you think that you will top $100K? I think that we have gone overboard with seeing how much money we can spend on these cars (yes, I know that you are just showing what is available out there for your readers).  How about a few articles on how to make some of these parts for us enthusiastic but not rich readers?
