OK, so what does this equate to in the real world? Recently, we took the Jag to Ohio Valley Raceway for some test passes to see how it would do. With a totally street-legal and very much street-driven car weighing 2,900 pounds, a 2,800 stall converter, full 3.5-inch exhaust, mufflers, and 3.73 gears, the car immediately busted off a 6.16 in the eighth-mile. The wideband O2 sensor showed way lean, probably from the junk gas we got at the pump on our way, but however you look at it, this is a legit mid 9-second pump-gas street car now. How's that for some rockin' heavy metal?
