The port locations were moved rather significantly. Raising the runners up .600 inch and the "long" ports over .375, we were able to minimize the cross-sectional area for the amount of airflow we were looking to get. Typical big-block cylinder heads can vary 20-30 cfm easily between the long and short ports, and with the modified heads we were able to get the difference to less than 10 cfm, most of that over .700-inch lift.
