After aligning the bellhousing to the block, Jarvis removed it to bolt up the clutch. The optional Hurst strip/comp clutch features a dual-friction disc, a heavy-duty pressure plate, and a throwout bearing. It's rated at 650 hp, and Hurst also offers a twin-disc upgrade for more demanding applications. Jarvis recommends sliding the clutch disc on the input shaft of the trans to check for binding, and cinching everything down with red Loctite.
