When battling 40-plus years worth of rust, penetrating lube and an air ratchet or a big breaker bar are your friends. Since the DSE kit literally replaces every suspension component inside the wheelwell, it's easiest to remove both control arms, the spindles, and brakes as a single assembly. Jarvis says that it's imperative to use a quality spring compressor before removing tension from the springs to prevent them from flying out.
