These hose adapters are included with the Series 500 steering box, and allow your original compression-style flare fittings on your old hoses to mate with the late-model metric O-ring ports on the new box. If you've already converted your hoses and power steering pump to a late-model setup, just plug your hoses directly into the box without the adapters. Most GMs converted from compression to metric O-ring fittings in the late '70s. View Related Article
