Clamp the socket into the vice. We used Earl's aluminum vise jaw liners to protect the finish on the fittings. Gently start the nipple side of the fitting into the socket by hand. These are made from aluminum so it's important to be gentle with the threads. Once they are started, finish the assembly with an -AN wrench. We used Earl's aluminum double-sided wrenches for the job. Make sure the hose is not being forced out of the socket while you tighten. The nipple should be within .060-inch of bottoming out on the socket. View Related Article
