Gydyup67.  (05/01/11 04:24 PM)

I am building my own Procect 532 Gydyup (PHR Readers Projects 67 Mustang - Chris Austin).
Im not trying to dime out your editorial here, but just need the final numbers. Your build sheet for Proj 532 shows a Scat 1-949955BE kit, which is a 521 stroker, there are several 532 kits, one being the 965BE?
The real rub for me would be which pistons you used, the dish, forged etc to get the compression with the 005 out of the hole.  Looks life flat tops from the pics, and if so, did you have to notch the slugs to accomodate the cam?
Proj Gydyup has used your roll bar install article and many others to get to this point. I have the towers notched, the engine, Toploader and Tubular Automotive headers mocked up in the car. Thanks for a great mag.
Chris "Gydyup", Chesapeake VA.
