Here are the electronic cutouts by Quick Time Performance. They operate with a 12-volt power source on a switch controlled by the driver. Project X uses a touch-screen monitor to open and close the cutouts. If you don't have that option, you can just use their controller, which also shows you the percent they're open, and gives you the ability to make manual adjustments.

The guys at GM Performance Division built the exhaust system for Project X to incorporate the Quick Time Performance (QTP) cutouts. They gave the exhaust a direct path though the cutouts when they are open and a route thought the pipes and mufflers when they're closed. QTP can supply you with a Y-pipe to incorporate into your existing system as well.

The idea was to have the exhaust exit the side of the car for maximum visual and auditory impact, so GM Performance Division designed a way to funnel the exhaust gases though a side exit in the body.
