The seam that was created as a consequence of cutting off the driprail must be MIG-welded shut. Using a hammer and dolly helps bring the two pieces of metal closer together and to tighten up the seams as much as possible. Unless the glass sealant is thoroughly removed with a wire-wheel and brush, the metal will be impossible to weld. View Related Article
