2008 Pontiac G8 Valve Cover
This plastic cover, possibly manufactured by Rubbermaid, will be the first thing to go. From now on, it's all business.

2008 Pontiac G8 Computer Image Supercharger
Magna Charger's Pontiac G8 blower design begins at the computer. This Computer Assisted Design (CAD) technology is an important part of getting the supercharger system to be as efficient as possible before any molten metal is poured.

2008 Pontiac G8 Tvs Case
The 1900 series TVS blower case was designed by Magna Charger to accept Eaton's new rotors. This is a precision-machined proprietary housing that features close tolerances for high boost levels and zero long-term wear.

The TVS blower is based on the earlier fifth-generation model, but comes with an added lobe, and an additional 100 degrees of rotation around their helix.

2008 Pontiac G8 Internal Bypass Valve
he internal bypass valve is overlooked in designs from other manufacturers, but it's vital if optimal fuel economy and minimal rotor wear are to be maintained. Its purpose is to release pressure by allowing incoming air to pass around the blower, and into the intake manifold during cruise or high-vacuum situations. This means the air will not be compressed unless you are accelerating.

2008 Pontiac G8 Intake Manifold Pieces
Here you can see how the intake manifold pieces go together. Compressed air enters the lid opening, passes through the charge cooler, then into the intake ports of the cylinder head.
2008 Pontiac G8 Coolant Transfer Pump
Rounding out the heat exchanger system for the G8 kit are the front-mount cooler, coolant transfer pump, and coolant reservoir. Fabricated by Magna Charger, the cooler features tabs and brackets to allow a perfect fit. The water pump and reservoir are small, and don't require relocation of any factory components.
2008 Pontiac G8 Supercharger Drive System
Magna Charger chooses to have the supercharger drive mechanism in the rear to give the intake the straightest, least obstructed path into the blower. Precision machined, fine-tooth, high-strength steel gears drive the two rotors in the G8's TVS system.
2008 Pontiac G8 Driveshaft
The supercharger's driveshaft can experience damaging vibrations that cause it to distort and become unstable at certain speeds. The cure to this problem was to change the material to carbon fiber, which is plenty strong and lighter than steel or aluminum. The carbon fiber is bound to the ends using an epoxy process.
2008 Pontiac G8 Metal Plate
The design of the match plate is crucial to the quality of the finished product. Shown here are thick vertical metal risers, called chills, used to draw heat out of the cast piece that keeps it dimensionally consistent with minimal shrinkage.
2008 Pontiac G8 Heat Exchanger
All of Magna Charger's kits (like the new G8 application) include a heat exchanger that is tailored for the application. The end tanks are fabricated in-house, and are shown here in the design stage tacked together prior to final mock-up.
2008 Pontiac G8 Technician
Simon Gale, R&D technician at Magna Charger, shows us what you can't see with the intake manifold lid and blower installed. Thankfully, you'll never have to assemble the charge cooler, tub, lid, or injectors-that will all be done by Magna Charger.
2008 Pontiac G8 Silver Supercharger
At this point in the G8 kit development process, Magna Charger engineers have decided to retain the factory G8 throttle body and injectors-which happen to be the same ones found on the Z06 Corvette. It is still undecided as of press time whether these elements will stay the same. The injectors would probably be the first components to be upgraded, however.
2008 Pontiac G8 Polished Supercharger
You'll be able to order the supercharger kit in either a silver powdercoat, or the high-polished version shown here. The price for the silver powdercoated version is $6,609.49, with the polished version running an additional $1,102.50.
