Why does a nearstock new Hemi make so much power? The key is in the heads, with unobstructed ports leading to the opposed-valve layout. As the valves open, they are directed toward the bore'scenterline, eliminating the effects of bore shrouding. Note the Hemi's dual plug arrangement.
