1968 Chevrolet Camaro Subframe

Meet our patient for this operation. This '68 Camaro spent years as a dedicated NHRA drag car, then a Pro Street cruiser. The 468 big-block, Turbo 400, and 4.10-geared Dana 60 rear end managed a wallet-draining 5 mpg. Handling was sketchy and braking induced panic attacks due to a poor setup. Our goal is to end up with a no-frills street machine that is at home on the street, road course and drag strip. Due to the copper hue of the '02 Prowler-orange paint, it quickly garnered the name, "Bad Penny." Here it is at Best of Show Coach Works in San Marcos, CA, where many of the transformations will take place.
