Here, the upper control arm has been bolted to the upper bar and shock mount bracket. The axle bracket tabs are bolted to the control arm and the axle has been cleaned where the bracket will be welded. Now it's time to locate the bracket gusset. Tap it into place near the axle tube, tack weld it in place, then weld it completely. On some cars (like ours) the brake line will have to be moved away from where the bracket will be welded. Weld length should be held to just 1-inch at a time to avoid warping of the axle tube. View Related Article
