5.0 Crate Motor
Since the day the new 5.0 was unveiled in the '11 Mustang GT, we've been salivating over the possibility that Ford Racing Performance Parts would release a crate engine version of it, complete with a controller. The wait is over, and as of August 15, the 5.0 retrofit package was available directly from Ford Racing Performance Parts as PN M-6007-M50 for $6,999. Not bad at all for what you get:

Designed for Corvette, Camaro, and Firebird LS1, LS2, and LS7 engines, the Pro-Track can be used in just about anything, from street rods to muscle cars. We like that it's precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and hard coated on high-wear areas for durability. An OEM-style tensioner ensures perfect belt tension and a canister-style power steering pump provides compact hydraulic pressure for power steering.
Kits include: aluminum water pump, alternator, alternator pulley with fan and nose cover, alternator bracket, A/C bracket, Sanden A/C unit, power steering brackets, canister-style power steering pump, power steering pulley with nose cover, OEM-style spring tensioner, crank pulley and balancer hub adapter, idlers, and all mounting hardware.
