Ford Suspension:
Global West Coilover Kit

Why is it that Ford guys always seem to get ignored when it comes to hard-core suspension pieces? Thanks to Global West, that's changing. They love all Blue Ovals, and they've been busy developing the good stuff for the Ford faithful. To back that up, they've just released a coilover suspension kit for '68-71 Torinos, and other fullsize Fords, that have either small-block or big-block engines. The Global West coilover kit provides a geometry change, adjustable ride height, adjustable shock valving, and provides an improved shock angle for greater dampening. Installation on the kit requires drilling 10 holes, and no welding is required. The kit also provides additional suspension travel to accommodate lowering and is available with optional Penske or QA1 adjustable shocks. Prices start at $2,700 for the complete kit.

Time Saver:
Engine Fogging Oil

Storing an engine for long periods of time can sometimes have unintended results. You may be saving that old numbers-matching motor while cruising around in your high-powered late-model LS, or you may have found a cherry short-block for a future project-whatever the case, shoving it in the corner and throwing a plastic bag over it won't save bare metal from problematic oxidation and corrosion. You may find down the road that you've got rusty cylinder bores and frozen rings on what had been a perfect assembly. AMSOIL's premium synthetic engine fogging oil offers superior film retention and provides long-term protection against rust and corrosion. The aerosol spray formulation offers an easy, clean application, while reaching more components and offering better distribution than straight motor oil.

During long periods of inactivity, and as a result of fluctuations in temperature, your equipment is left vulnerable to the formation of condensation that causes surface corrosion on steel and iron compounds. It may also dry out cylinders, which can cause permanent damage when the equipment is dry-started.

Motor oil for two- and four-stroke engines often acts as a barrier to keep condensate from contacting engine parts and forming corrosion. Yet motor oil loses its effectiveness through time. The most effective way to make sure the oil gets distributed into the internal engine parts is to use an aerosol fogging oil. AMSOIL Engine Fogging Oil is applied through the engine intake or carburetor as the engine is running for a complete distribution of oil onto engine parts. It is easier, more effective, and cleaner than pouring motor oil into the engine cylinders and manually rotating the engine.
