The Chevelle's trick fuel system features both a mechanical and an electric pump. If either fails, each pump flows enough fuel to adequately feed the motor. A pair of bleed lines tap into the feed line right before fuel reaches the bowls. Small nitrous jets in each bleed line remove air bubbles from the fuel, and dump them into the return line. This prevents vapor lock, and keeps the fuel cool. View Related Article
