Already at ant-level, the 4-inch-wider phantom Falcon looks wide angle and lower with its inverted bumper. "I needed an air dam effect, but I didn't have to look any further than the stock front bumper. I turned it upside down and got just what I needed." Alsa black paint was applied by Jack Boreland in Denver, NC. Jim Norris in Cheraw laid on the minimal graphics.

The Grant wheel connects to a '95 Mustang rack-and-pinion steering-no power assist, of course. Ken made the sparse but supportive seats in his shop and spent not one thin dime on carpeting or any other extraneous crap. Note the heel rest just below the throttle pedal. Race theme is as race theme does. Man, what music it makes!

Unless you've access to a racing catalog, don't bother looking for the rain tires that Ken has adapted to the snake-low Falcon. These fat BFGs are on vintage BBS magnesium hoops, replete with hub-mount attachment. The 25.5-inch tall fronts pose with 27.75 rears, and afford a subtly raked stance.
1962 Ford Falcon Engine
Though slightly larger in displacement than the 255ci normally aspirated configuration used at Indy (subsequent turbo bullets were around 159 ci), Ken figures he's safe with a 9,200-rpm "chip" (race engines routinely tipped 11,000). How'd you like to mess with those headers? The reverse hood scoop vents considerable heat. As boost ascends, timing retards and fuel pressure go up proportionately.

1962 Ford Falcon Adjustable Anti Sway Bar
NASCAR-style adjustable anti-sway bar is similar to current drag race set-ups. Ken says the key to handling is actually the centering effect of the Watts link. Fortified 9-inch uses an aluminum carrier holding a Gleason differential and a 3.89:1 ring-and-pinion. Note dry sump holding tank. Aldan adjustable coilovers exert 325 pounds per inch.
