With Rich Chenet taking care of business behind the lens, the author was able to get in a few sessions in his SS. Already handicapped by the additional weight of a convertible top, he saw no reason not to add a five-point rollbar and a beefy set of subframe connectors. 550lbs. worth of driver and passenger pushed the ragtop well over the 4,100lb. mark, which significantly hurt their unofficial lap times.
