Goodguys Nashville autocross

Rain or shine, the 8th annual Goodguys Nashville Nationals were destined to prevail. Large crowds drew to witness the autocross event held at the LP Field (Tennessee Titans Stadium) that took place Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The drizzle that came down on Friday was all that fell; the rest of the weekend was dry and resulted in a great time. Lot of classic cars turned tight corners at the stadium, a 10 minute walk from Nashville.

Handling out the Goodguys Builder's Choice awards was Bobby Alloway - which meant the cars had to be the best of the best to get an award. Amongst the finalist were several Ridler contenders shown outdoors for the first time this season. At the end of the weekend, there were 6 class winners atop the podium. They included:

PRO Class Winner - Roger Burman - '70 Camaro 35.55
Hot Rod Winner - Lee Thompson - '36 Chevy 47.43
Shootout & Street Machine Winner - Tom McBride - '67 Camaro 36.706
Truck Winner - Jeff Schwartz - 49 Chevy 39.343
All American Sunday Winner - Greg Schnieder - 2010 Mustang

All-in-all, the Nashville Nationals were a success despite the rain. If you were unable to attend this year, we certainly suggest you try to get there for the 9th year in 2014.
