Background
Performance unlimited came to the event with what is essentially one of their street motors, a 351 Windsor fitted with a set of AFR heads. Atlthough the Windsor engine was more docile than most in terms of cam specifications, there was nothing mild about the power output. Performance Unlimited's numbers were good enough to place them currently in a solid fifth position.

Final Score - 2406.4 @ 409 CI
Background
McKeown brought a 400 M based Ford with Cleveland-style CHI cylinder heads, a combination resembling their entry last year. Mark is one of the few builders taking advantage of electronic tuning of the timing curve, and the engine pulled cleanly through the warm-ups. Following up on a strong showing in warm-up, the engine put down the numbers to currently take the third place spot in the standings.

Background
SAM's Team 2 is a 400 small block Chevrolet, an engine that sounded as good as the Ford run by team 1. This engine was clearly built with a win in mind, and it showed a strong number on the roll-in. A hole in the torque curve just at the bottom clearly cost points in the warm-ups. The crew worked during the tune-up period to try and improve toque at the dip, looking to timing. However the problem persisted in the scored pulls, but not enough to keep this engine from moving into second place in the current standings.
Team # 9 - M.P.G. Heads
Scott Main
Final Score - DNF
Background
There was a backstory behind the DNF result with the MPG entry. The long-time players in the Engine Masters show brought an engine that was set on kill. In the first warm-up pull, this engine threw down number that were simply staggering. In a cruel turn of events, the engine dropped score significantly through subsequent warm-up pulls - obviously hurt. A wiped cam looks to be the culprit, drowning what could possibly have been an incredible score.
