The oiling system will provide sufficient oil pressure during most driving and racing conditions. However, there may be a question as to whether the oiling system can provide sufficient oil flow and pressure during a cold engine start or in the case of oil pump starvation or total failure. To combat these potentially fatal situations, companies such as Canton, Moroso, and a few others have developed a system that will feed oil under pressure during a cold start or when oil pressure drops below a designated point.
