Many of the smaller-bore Flowmaster installations can be fine-tuned to make a little more torque everywhere in the rpm range by selecting a muffler with about an inch larger in/exit diameter. Bell-mouth adaptors (available from commercial truck supply stores) are then used as shown here. It is important to make the inlet as per this drawing, otherwise the low-speed gains will not be realized. View Related Article
