Here's Cliff Ruggles in his '73 Ventura equipped with a 468 Pontiac sporting the new KRE aluminum D-port heads. Cliff would normally stage at 1,700-1,800 rpm, but the response was so quick that he was redlighting. So he adjusted launch rpm to 1,100 rpm. View Related Article
