It is good practice to check and record the turning torque of the bottom-end assembly. Ours checked in at 19 ft-lbs, which was surprisingly smooth. Low turning friction translates directly into measurable power, as we've seen many times in the Engine Masters Challenge. It is a good practice to check the rotation as the short-block is being assembled, as this can point out assembly errors along the way. View Related Article
