We used a nylon thrust button from Summit, which fits in the center of the camshaft gear, and bears against the timing cover to limit unwanted fore and aft camshaft movement. Ordering a camshaft with the Gen II nose would render the thrust button unnecessary-you'd just use the factory thrust plate. View Related Article
