Our final engine to run in Wednesday’s qualifying session was the 433 cubic inch big block Chevy from Adney Brown’s Performance Crankshaft. The engine is topped with a set of Brodix heads, while the Holley intake manifold is plumbed for fuel injection but was run with a Holley Carburetor. The engine seemed to pull through the qualifying eliminations without missing a beat, turning cleanly to 7000 rpm. Tuning the timing and fuel, the team gained power with every move, with horsepower reaching a best of 718, and torque coming in at 637. The team finished with a score of 2659.7 points.
