Gary Blair (right) of Blair racing was the only other competitor to run on opening day, with a big-bore Ford combo. Engine Masters has evolved into an event with unwavering camaraderie amongst the competitors. Randy Malik (left) also competing with a Ford, was Blair's corner man, offering advice and assistance.
