Chevrolet Small Block Engines

Chevy small block engines are commonly classified into 3 bore sizes and 3 main bearing sizes. 283 engine blocks have a 3.875" bore and a 2.3" main, 302/327/350 engine blocks have a 4" bore and a 2.3" or 2.45" main, and the 400 blocks have a 4.126" bore and 2.65" main.
